90s tv scifi movie

I can not remember the title to this movie at all.

Here is what I do remember. Classic training mission of cadets becomes the only hope for an outpost when they stumble across an enemy fleet.

The enemy ships are orange and black. They use their FTL which folds space to ensnare some asteroids and launch them at the enemy ships to make them use up their missiles.
