How Would Robb Stark Handle the White Walker Threat?

I was just wondering how the late Robb Stark would have handled the incoming White Walker invasion had he survived the red wedding (well, if the event didn't even happen in the first place so he would still have his army). I mean, he was known to be quite the tactical genius in his war against the Lannisters, so it's kind of a shame now that Westeros lost one of their best tacticians over silly political squabbles. Anyway, is it possible that Robb Stark would have in fact done really well against the white walkers? I assume he would be smart enough to realize that fire is their weakness at the very least.
