Trapping Lord Voldemort in Prof. Quirell's body, would it be possible?

Had Harry and gang not interfered the part where Prof. Quirell + Lord Voldemort goes into the forbidden room, Dumbledore and Snape could have easily trapped/cornered them during their exit or maybe in that room itself. In this case, maybe Quirell and Voldy would have not even got the Philosopher's stone.

But if Dumbledore and Snape could have captured them alive, they could have jailed them or put them in a secluded room from where escape was impossible. They could have kept Voldy alive on small doses of Unicorn blood. Small amount such that he doesn't die and also doesn't get energy to do magic.

Thus, whole set of problems caused during further parts would have been easily averted.

Would this have been possible in anyway?

(If this would have happened, maybe Death Eaters would have hijacked Hogwarts express with demands for release of their master Noseless One)
