Is the ansible from Ender's Game possible?

I just finished reading Ender's Game and the ansible (device with can help people communicate faster than the speed of light) has been stuck in my mind. I can't stop thinking about how this device would work. Could we build our own ansible? Can we communicate faster than the speed of light. Or could we use technology like the Buggers where they are all one mind?
