Would it have been better for Edward to fall in love with Bella and Jacob's daughter?

At the end of Breaking Dawn pt2 i was grossed out by the fact that Jacob imprinted on Bella's half vampire baby. He's already 16 and even if she is physically grown in seven years she is technically still a child. So i wondered, if Bella had chosen Jacob and Edward started dating their daughter when she grew up would it be better? Or still just as weird?
