In the last book Hermione says that through side-along apparition she managed to bring a DE into the Fidelius Charms protection over the House of Black. Since she was a secret keeper she has now shared the secret with him. This is a major plot point and everything else that happens later in the story happens due to the fact that they can't go back to the House of Black, nor can they call Kreature for help, because they believe DE's will come with him. This fact is neither proved nor disproved in the story. The narrative heavily implies that Hermione's analysis was true, and that was my point of view as well.....until now.
The Fidelius Charm is not without its weaknesses. If the Secret Keeper wishes to do so, they may divulge the information at any time (although the secret cannot be forced, bewitched or tortured out of a Secret Keeper who does not wish to give up their secret; it must be given voluntarily). (Secret-keeper, Pottermore Book 3 Chapter 17 Moment 2)
She most definitely didn't give out the secret voluntarily, and in fact, was trying to get the DE to let go of her clothes upto the last second. Granted I have never been to Pottermore (I think it needs a subscription or something, I never bothered to check it in detail) but from what I gather it is an official site from JK Rowling and everything in Pottermore is canon material. I am assuming the above quote isn't wrong either, judging by the number of upvotes the original question has received.
So in light of this new evidence, can we conclude that Hermione in fact did not bring DE's into the charms protection, and they would not have had to suffer so much if they had only taken a risk by, perhaps having a quick look at the house or at least calling Kreature?
