Obviously some characteristics will be based on biology (Trills not being good in the heat while Cardassians are for example.) However, in the various incarnations of Star Trek, there appear to be differences in the behaviour of species based on race (Ferengis are filled with avarice, Klingons appear to have a tendency towards violence etc.). Is this generally explained as a function of biology or cultural difference?
