In Interview with the Vampire the movie, Armond tells Louie that it's illegal to make an immortal child, slight difference from the book where he's made it illegal in his own coven. Armond clearly loves Louie and wants to do everything in his power to stay with him. However, when Armond captures Louie, Claudia, and Claudia's new companion then proceed to put Louie in a box and kill the other two(glaring difference between the book and movie. Claudia is placed on trial for attempting to kill her maker, Lestat's testimony is what condemns her do death). Armond does nothing to stop this but that night, he goes to rescue Louie who proceeds to slaughter Armond's entire coven. Why did Armond not stop his own people from doing what they did? Did he not understand that by allowing them to kill Claudia, he would loose Louie forever and eventually be left alone?
