Characters that have drowned as a form of sacrifice?

Not sure where to ask this but I guess science fiction and fantasy is my best bet since there is no character making forum.

I am trying to find characters who have been drowned as a form of sacrifice. The closest I found to this was Eurydice (Greek mythology) but different researches said different things about her death: either they say that she was bitten by a snake and then fell into a lake or just that she was bitten by a snake. Hylas is another one who seem to have drowned in greek mythology but he was seduced...There is also Ophelia (Hamlet) but she fell from a branch instead of being sacrified.

The god Tlacoc and Quetzalcoatl required drowned sacrifices (with heart removal, which is nice for what I want) during Etzalcualitzli but I am yet to find a sacrifice with a name.

It would be nice if the said character had something related to this god instead of being just a random sacrifice: it could be venerating this god, hating it, planning to use sacrifice as a way to kill them whatever. It also would be nice if the said name was something suitable for pre 1900s but any reference is fine for a research.
